The Great Shakespeare Ride is back for 2018 on Sunday 13th August and there’s still time to enter. Showcasing the beautiful Warwickshire and Cotswolds countryside, this cycle event is not one to be missed!
The cycle ride will start and finish at the beautiful Walton Hall Hotel where there will be a bar area, delicious food and a well-deserved massage post ride!
Choose from our 100mile sportive, 100km challenge and our friendly 40 miler – The Great Shakespeare Ride is for everyone who loves to pedal. The 100mile route is a beautiful but challenging route which includes five major climbs and a total ascent which easily matches the infamous Dragon Ride and similar events. Our 100km challenge is challenging but achievable, think of it as a small step away from the 100mile route you’ll no doubt be entering next year! The friendly 40 miler is back by popular demand and is shorter and flatter compared to our other more challenging routes – perfect for families.
Steve and Jana Dix took part last year, they said “Best sportive ever! The Hill Climb was brutal but we did it – it’s a challenge.” Tom Woollard, 17, also took part in 2016 and added “You don’t have to be an elite cyclist to enter. It was my first time last year and I came 46th, this year I knocked 10 minutes off my time! It’s an event where I can really better myself and beat my time.”
Whether you’re a budding Bradley Wiggins or have only just taken the stabilizers off your bike, The Great Shakespeare Ride is perfect for you!
